Membership
Membership
Developing club is restricted to members to ensure everyone is able to work alone safely in our community space. Membership is free, and analogue photographers of all skill levels are welcome to apply.

Film Developing Club is a regular evening session where members come together to spend time developing and scanning film in the darkroom.
Each session is focused on hands-on developing, building familiarity with the space, learning the practice and exchanging knowledge. By spending time developing and scanning together, members develop the practical knowledge and confidence needed to work independently.Â
Film Developing Club sessions include access to the darkroom and its professional-grade developing and scanning equipment, set up and ready for the evening. All chemistry and equipment are provided, keeping the focus on the process rather than the setup.
The shared session keeps costs fair, with guidance on hand whenever you need it.
Black & white or colour developing and scanning
Film Club sessions are open to both black & white and C-41 colour film. Alongside developing, you can scan your work in the same session, taking a roll from exposed film through to finished digital files — a smooth, practical workflow, all in one shared space.
Who Film Developing Club is for
Film Developing Club is a members-only session for people who want regular access to the darkroom and time to build confidence developing and scanning film. It suits members who are new to the darkroom and learning by doing, as well as those with some experience who want to refine their approach.
The shared format encourages observing different workflows, asking questions, and learning from others. Film Developing Club is best suited to those who want to be involved in the ongoing life of the darkroom developing film regularly, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a supportive working environment.
Film Club is calm, focused, and quietly social. A small group of members develop their own film together, sharing the space with time for questions, conversation, and comparing results as they go.
It’s an easygoing session for developing without pressure, experimenting with process, and finding your own rhythm in the darkroom.
