Over the past few years, we’ve poured time, care, and love into building a space that supports creative learning and community connection. Whether you’ve joined us for a workshop, dropped in for a print session, or just shared a cuppa and a chat about film photography, you’ve helped shape this place into something special.
One of our core goals has always been to keep our facilities open and accessible—and we’re really pleased to share a small but meaningful step forward:
You can now hire our community darkroom space for personal use, starting at just £15 per hour.
Sessions can be booked for up to 6 hours at a time, giving you plenty of flexibility depending on what you’d like to work on.
This means you can now use the space independently to develop or print your own black & white or C41 colour film, with full access to our enlargers, trays, chemistry, and other materials and equipment. If you’re fairly comfortable working solo, it’s a great opportunity to explore the process at your own pace.
A two-hour session is typically enough time to both develop and print a roll of 35mm or 120 film—but you’re welcome to book longer if you’d like more time to experiment or work through a bigger batch.
Whether you’re picking film back up after a break, working on a project, or just looking for a bit of quiet printing time, we hope this new offering gives you the space to get creative on your own terms.
